Leave me alone, I’m baking

Holiday Baking

I spent over two hours at the grocery store yesterday buying supplies for my baking extravaganza.  I can bake, when I want to.  Right now, I’m motivated.  Unfortunately, I did not check my cupboards very well and I kept second guessing myself.  This is my usual protocol as I seem to have three brand new rolls of parchment paper.

I’m making some breads, out of the box, cause I’m fancy like that. And some other things from blogs, and such…

I wish my husband would have listened to me when I wrote a long list of baking pans etc. on my Christmas wish list last year.  I spent already $50 at least in buying new pans, etc. this year.

So if you don’t see me around, well I’m baking, or waiting for something to bake, or running to the store for more ingredients that I forgot to buy.

Oh........enjoy! I love baking days. Well, kind of. I'm making a ham and potato casserole right now. I shouldn't be eating any of it, but I will.

I wish my kitchen looked that festive. There's just ambitious chaos everywhere...sigh.

I'm not that festive. It is still chaos in my house.

Looks intense over there. I'm impressed. And, I want to see more of you in 2011 than 2010. Can we arrange that? Merry Christmas, my friend. XOX

YES! We need to see each way more in 2011. We need to arrange that! Happy Holidays! I'm glad it is all over. Now, I'm not sure if we can survive this Holiday break though.

Oh dear lord. That is what my kitchen looked like Sunday and Monday. I made SO MANY cookies!! Enjoy! I believe baking is therapeutic for the soul.

I kept baking so that I wouldn't kill my family. It was therapeutic for their souls.

I just want your mixer. I have a kenmore that someone gave me & it exploded yesterday (still need to get cookie dough off the ceiling fan) Then today the immersion blender & handheld mixer went on the fritz. Decided to sit & have some toast & calm down & the toaster wouldn't toast. Three different outlets so I know it's not something like that; but my day was FUBAR'd before it even started

LOL, that silver mixer is actually my husband's. I'm barely allowed to touch it. I was quite impressed with it's power though.
