Disney on Ice: Worlds of Fantasy Review

Last Tuesday night, we had the pleasure of attending Disney on Ice:World of Fantasy Review.  Angry Toddler did not even know we were going until we arrived.  I don’t usually tell him if we are going somewhere “special” until we are on our way. It saves us from drama and temper tantrums.  We arrived on found our seats.  I proceeded to go upstairs and get some snacks.  While I was upstairs, I discovered that they had “Princess Dresses” out for display. And even better, Cinderella came out to wave to everyone.

We were treated to a show with combined ice acts from Disney’s Cars, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Disney Fairies, and Tinker Bell from Pixie Hollow. They spent fifteen twenty minutes on each “theme”. I’m partial to “The Little Mermaid”. I love The Little Mermaid. I even had a birthday cake with The Little Mermaid, when I was a tad younger.

Angry Toddler shrieked when Cars came on the ice.  He couldn’t believe that Lightening McQueen and Mater were really this close. Mater was very silly, and made Angry Toddler giggle.  My parents were with us, and even my dad exclaimed. “this is very cool”.

We arrived at the show around 6:50 and ended up leaving around 9:00pm. This was a very late night for Angry Toddler as he was at preschool all day long prior to this.  I would suggest that if you have younger children, under 5, that you try and attend the earlier shows.  The show that starts at 7:30pm runs to a little past 9:00.  Also, my son was very sugared up as they were selling popcorn and cotton candy right from the seating area.  This was a little hard for us, as my son was begging for everything.  But I will give this show a thumbs up. Angry Toddler told all of his friends at preschool the next day about it. He even said that he wants to go again. The ice skating was superb, and the costuming was beautiful.

I created a story on whrrl with some of my friends who also attended this event. Please check out our story here.

Tickets are still available for upcoming shows in Anaheim, Ontario, and Long Beach. Check out Ticketmaster for tickets.

Disclosure: I was provided with tickets to this event by MomCentral and Feld Family Activators.

Great report on the show, Julie. I can't wait until we go and your post makes me excited about it. We are taking both kids and hopefully crazy 2 year old will be good for us. I too, really like The Little Mermaid. I remember seeing it in theaters at a birthday party in 4th grade.
