Hello to Angry Kid waking up at 5am on Sunday morning. Angry Kid went on a cleaning frenzy on Sunday starting with his closet. He then went and cleaned the toilets in both of the bathrooms in the house. He is quite random.

I'm in the land of pretty food. I have no clue on what to but here. I also feel like I should have driven a Prius instead of my Tahoe.Hello to Whole Foods. Or as my BFF Stacey likes to call it, “Whole Paycheck”. Everything looked so pretty and shiny. And ouch the prices! I felt odd driving my Tahoe there.

Hello to Angry Husband’s recent Celiac diagnosis. Goodbye to Gluten.

Back-To-School with Clorox

Last week, I came home to a package on my doorstep. As a part of the DailyBuzz Moms Tastemaker Program, The Clorox Company sent me a package of products to review.

Clorox Back-To-School Kit

I received a sample of a Brita Water Bottle, Glad Food Storage Containers, and Glad To-Go Food Storage Containers.

Brita 20 oz. Water Bottle with filter. This bottle is BPA-free, and top rack dishwasher safe.  I love the size of this bottle. It is tall and slender.  It will fit in my car’s cupholder with ease.  I also like the rubber carrying loop on the top of it. I’ve already saved a ton of money with this water bottle. Since I’ve had this bottle, I haven’t had to buy any bottled water from the store. I just fill up the bottle with tap water.

Glad To-Go Food Storage Containers. Glad has came up with a great new product line to compliment their already awesome storage containers.  They’ve added a small cup that secures to the interior portion of the lid. I’m always packing some kind of salad or chicken for lunch at work.  I’m so excited because I can store the salad dressing or sauce in the lid. Honestly, my husband was pretty excited for this product also.

Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. We are already proud users of these Clorox wipes.  To be honest, I hand my son one of these wipes, and make him clean his bathroom. There is nothing worse, than a 6 year old boy’s bathroom.  These wipes do the job, plus they kill the germs.

All of these products are awesome tools for a busy working mom like me. Seriously, I can use all of the tools that I can get.

Now, if I can survive the next two weeks till school starts.

Disclosure: I received these items as samples for review purposes on behalf of the DailyBuzz Moms Tastemaker Program. All opinions are mine.

How To Get A Kid To Clean His Room

I have a little obsession with reality TV. I admit that. Perhaps they were having a Hoarders mini marathon on, Sunday night.  I LOVE watching that show.  I think it is appeasing to my inner OCD, and justifies my obsession with throwing things away. I know that my friend, Kim, will understand my need to throw things away.  It is very hard to live in my house sometimes, especially with all of the little toys lying around.

Hoarders

After the first episode, Angry Kid came and sat down with me. He wanted to see what I was watching.  I told him the title, Hoarders.  He did not understand, but he say it with his own eyes…that was enough.  It was really sad though when they started showing children’s rooms.

I explained to Angry Kid that these people keep a lot of stuff, and don’t clean up. I told him that never put things in the trash, give them to charity, or put things away.  Angry Kid instantly looked at the floor in the living room.  I saw that there were Legos, and other small toys all over.  He immediately started picking up his toys and placing them in boxes nearby.

Angry Kid then said, “I don’t want bugs in my room.”  One of the children on the show had bugs in his bed.  I think that completely freaked Angry Kid out. So every time his mess gets a little out of hand, I might have to remind him about watching Hoarders.

Angry Kid's "Hoarding" Mess

This is what the living room/family room table looked like after he picked up his mess.  I’m pretty impressed.  He did it all by himself.

P.S. I’m pretty excited. There’s a Hoarder’s Marathon on Memorial Day.  I’m working that day, but totally setting the DVR.
