Hello Monday

Hello Rainy Day! Goodbye Weekend!

Hello 24Hour Fitness at 5:30am. Came home, got dressed, got kid ready, and lunch made, all by 7:45am.

Who is this person? Is it really me?

Tall boots and jeans. A first for me.Hello tall boots with jeans. A first for me.

Jeans are Lucky Brand. Boots are Old Navy, via sale, like $20, which is a total win!

Total fashion risk for me. I have thick calves. VERY hard to find boots that fit. Too many years of playing softball, and being a catcher.

I made the family take a little roadtrip after school. First on the agenda, stalk fabric!Well, Hello There Hobby Lobby.

Husband granted a little wish from me on Friday. We went on a little road trip, over an hour drive to Hobby Lobby. It was a first for me. I’m in love.

CANNOT WAIT until the one in Orange County opens!

Next place on our mini fieldtrip-roadtrip.
Bass Pro Shops in Ontario, CA
Hello There Bass Pro Shops. The male version of Hobby Lobby for my husband and Angry Kid.

Ok, I compromised. There was no way that husband was going to drive that far to go to a craft store. I might have bribed him with a trip to Bass Pro Shops.

We are going on a camping trip to Yosemite in June. We actually were shopping at Bass Pro Shops for some things that we needed.

I took a ton of pictures there. I will have to share more later. But one word pretty much describes the entire store: CAMOUFLAGE.

Sewing Bunting for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's DayHello there crafts.

I finished some projects that I’ve been working on for the past few weeks. I made bunting for Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day.

I exchange crafts for the Holidays with my cousin-in-law Jackie. She is mailing me a wreath that she made. We are random and crafty like that.

Hello CHA aka The Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show.

I will be attending CHA next weekend with my co-worker Kim. We are very excited about this. Can you tell that we are using crafts as stress relief from our jobs?

A little view of Santa Monica today, taken from the pier.Hello Santa Monica and Santa Monica Pier.

The BFF Stacey and I went to Santa Monica yesterday to see Cirque Du Soleil’s  Show OVO.

We enjoyed a yummy lunch (post coming soon)!

We enjoyed the Cirque Show.

and of course, the people watching was fabulous!

Hello enough blog posts for the entire week, just from this weekend’s events!

I have way too much energy today. I will probably crash around 2pm and need a nap.

Hello to a brand new week.

Hello Monday!

I’m linking up with Lisa Leonard and her Hello Monday Series.

Insta-Friday

I miss sharing all of my random photos with you every week. Now that I’m not doing Project 365, you don’t get to see all of my food, and other random crap that I take photos of. Well today, you will get to see all of my randomness!

Happiness is pork quesadillas @CafeRioMexGrill.
Lunch at Cafe Rio with my husband, son, and husband’s co-worker. We used to go to Cafe Rio all the time, but I got totally burnt out. I got something different this time, a pork quesadilla.

Angry Kid playing on the iPad
Last Sunday, Angry Kid and I lounged around. He sat in the bed in our master bedroom and played on iPad for a few hours. He was all warm and cozy in the down comforters.

Antipasto Salad and Garlic Bread. Tis' my dinner tonight.
My antipasto salad from Haus of Pizza. I love the shell bowl that they serve it in. It makes it look so pretty. Everyone on Instagram commented that I eat so well. Obviously, I’m not posting the bowls of Lucky Charms, etc. that I also eat.

Random Jeep
Random orange Jeep. We used to have a Jeep, which was more like a beast, a 1984 CJ7. It was a complete nightmare. I love the orange color though. Husband’s response, “Not a Rubicon, only 2 doors, but has hard top”. Obviously, he likes the 4-door Rubicons. A Jeep is totally not happening though, been there, done that.

Is it against the rules to have breakfasty stuff for lunch? Because if it is, I'm a rule breaker.
Why yes, I had breakfast for lunch last week. I realized that it was 2pm, that I hadn’t eaten, and that the Rooster Cafe closes at 3pm. I had a Hearty Scramble, which is bacon, eggs, cheese, sausage, and ham all scrambled together with red potatoes.

My son is obsessed with watching old GI Joe cartoons on The HUB. I'm tired of our DVR being filled. I used giftcards and bought this 17 DVD box set on @Amazon. He was very excited. Pic taken by husband.
$150 is what is costs for hours of silence for me, and enjoyment for the kid. Vintage 1980′s via Amazon. Purchased with gift cards and Christmas money. SEVENTEEN DVD’s!

A little bit of sunshine on my walk back from school drop off. My neighbor, a video game designer, says that they call them "God Rays" in the gaming industry.
I’m such a hipster. I walk my kid to school. And I take photos with my iPhone along the way. My neighbor says that they call those “God Rays” in the video game design industry. Totally unedited photo.

This is pretty much it for my week. The rest of the photos on my iPhone are screenshots to remember things, coupons, and photos from work that go along with the “what happens at work, stays at work” theory.

Wordless Wednesday: Fabulous Ferris Wheel

I’ve been a bit busy the past month, and I have forgotten about some great photos that I’ve taken along the way.  I usually download my photos to iPhoto on my Macbook, that I take with me everywhere. But, I realized that I may have downloaded a few events onto our Mac Mini which is in our home office.

I took these photos at the Irvine Spectrum in early December. I was waiting for Carrie to meet me so that we could attend an event at Down East Basics.  I had issues with the lighting in Down East, so I never posted about the event, but I did save these photos. I completely forgot about them, and edited them Monday night.

During the months of December through February, the Irvine Spectrum has an outdoor ice skating rink set-up in front of the ferris wheel area.

I love taking pictures of the Giant Wheel at the Irvine Spectrum.  Hopefully, I can take some more photos once the ice skating rink is gone. For some reason, I always take pictures from the back, rather than this side of the wheel. Maybe, it is because Anthropologie is on the other side, and I love that place.
