Wordless Wednesday: Making Bento Boxes

I went to a preview of the new Whole Foods Market opening up in Laguna Niguel this morning.  The store is still under construction and it is in the process of being stocked. Their grand store opening in on May 16th.  Everything looks so pretty.  We learned how they use local vendors for their produce and how they only buy the best quality meats, cheeses, and other items.  Just going on the tour made me hungry.  The store is beautiful.

After we took our tour we went to a adjacent restaurant and there were different stations to assemble a Bento.  I’m not creative at all so I pretty much slammed my food into the little compartments in the box.  Some of the other attendees got more creative with theirs.  I guess that I will never win that mom award, you know, “prettiest lunch”.

Hello, found your blog via Crissy's wordless weds post. I went through a super heavy period of Bento loooove. I went to Japantown in San francisco a few times just on dollar store bento box and accessory runs. I don't even have children, I just wanted my own for work/school/etc. So addictive. Now I need to drag them out of the cabinet, been too long!

Love the colorful boxes. I have little containers that fit in my sons lunchbox, but they are just plain red, blue and green. Are these boxes sold at Whole Foods?

I never make the time to make lunch pretty for Princess Nagger - so you're not alone. ;) Love the shots - wish we had a Whole Foods Market in our area! :)

How fun! Apparently saying just "How fun!" was a bit too short for the comment box, so I added this sentence to let you know that! Haha!

Whole Foods is soo pretty. Ya, my kid gets a peanut butter and jelly with other random stuff for lunch. No flower shaped food for him.

Hilarious...I think I have some kind of setting so spam doesn't get in, hence the short comment thing.
