Last Friday, our entire family was sitting around staring at each other. It was Spring Break, and it was raining. We were all bored out of our minds. I made a quick decision and told everyone to get their shoes on, because we were going on a field trip. We drove through some heavy rain, but we made it to The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Angry Husband gave me one of those, “This better be good. We drove here in pouring rain, all the way to LA” looks. He was pleasantly surprised at how awesome The Natural History Museum was. He even told several of his friends about it.
And my favorite photo taken with my iPhone. I call this one, “Umm hey kid, there are two dinosaurs attacking each other behind you, just keep smiling.”

Our local Museum of Natural Science is a good place to spend a rainy day. It is also getting ready to open a big new exhibit hall – and it is only 1/2 mile down the road!
Happy WW!

Just had to tell you that my 4 yr old son really enjoyed this blog post… “Woh! Mom! That is so cool!!!”

LOL, love it. Seriously, I was shocked at how my son knew about all of the dinosaurs. Seriously, he knew some random factoids. I guess watching The History Channel so much does that to you.
Beautiful photos! We love the museum. Looks like you all had a great time.

It was pretty awesome. Seriously, my husband doubts me sometimes. He was soo impressed. Now I gotta do some research and find more cool things. I forget about all of the stuff that we have here in Southern California. I went on field trips to all of these places as a kid. My husband grew up in Reno, so he ummmm didn’t see as many cool museums like this.
That looks amazing! We’re going to Seattle this week and I can’t wait to check out some new museums. Austin is good, but we don’t have huge museums like that!

The best part was that the stained glass window was on the ceiling. It was seriously awesome.
I love the spontaneity!
Glad y’all had a good time too.

Wow, the museum is stunning. Sad to say ours is a bit neglected but we will visit soon as I am sure the kids will love the dinosaurs
