Cookie Exchange Party Ideas

I have been invited to two Cookie Exchange Parties during the month of December. For one of the parties, I have to bring NINE dozen cookies. They have to be homemade and have flour in them. Yikes!!! The only family recipe that I have is for sugar cookies, the kind you frost. I mean those are amazing, but I need something brilliant. I’m currently searching blogs and of course, my BFF, Pinterest.

I love Swedish Honey Cookies and the spices make it a perfect holiday cookie...they are rolled into balls and then flattened so it goes pretty fast...I usually assembly line and have a bunch of balls made while I'm waiting for that first batch to bake. They have to have flour in them? That is an odd thing to make a point of them having, isn't it? I don't even know of cookies that don't have flour in them. Too funny. I'm participating in a cookie exchange too. I think im gonna do my biscotti. I only make it this time of the year. Nine dozen though, wow that's a lot! Sounds like fun though :)

I know, crazy...There are actually some no-bake cookies, bars, etc. without flour. I think I found a few recipes after searching some blogs.

I have a kick-ass recipe for special K bars. If you like peanut butter and chocolate, they're awesome and super fast. No oven necessary and you can kick out dozens super fast. Email me if you want the recipe (I'm not at home right now).

The basic recipe is here (http://busycooks.about.com/od/barcookierecipes/r/specialkbars.htm). I use white sugar instead of brown. Also, I do mine on my stove instead of the microwave. It's just easier to control the temperature (and it doesn't take much longer). After melting the sugar into the corn syrup, I add 1 tsp of vanilla. For the topping, I use a bag of semisweet chocolate chips and a bag of PB chips.
