We survived our totally un-planned, no-structured, free-for-all summer. NEVER again. My son needs some structure in his life. But it was fun while it lasted. Angry Kid was anxious for school to start, and so was I. Yesterday, we had our first soccer practice also, which was quite entertaining to say the least. Soccer is PERFECT for Angry Kid, he was all red and sweaty after he was done. Totally worth the money.
We pulled up to the school yesterday, and I jumped out of the car to check the teacher and class list. Angry Kid stayed in the car with my husband. I think I cared more about the teacher and classmates than he did. I came back a few minutes later, as I snapped an iPhone photo of the class list. I only knew a few of the kids in his class this year. But really, in practicality, it is probably better for Angry Kid as he will be less distracted.
So here he is, my new First Grader. And really, it kinda looks like a mug shot, doesn’t it?
Here are some photo highlights of our morning:
He did this on purpose, so that I would stop taking photos. Such a loving son. And, here is a little comparison between Kindergarten and First Grade:
Really, the best part of all of this? FULL DAY SCHOOL. Angry Kid was in half day kindergarten. Do you know how fast those three hours fly by? Like super fast!
