A few weeks ago, I carpooled with my friend Monique to a fellow co-worker’s bridal shower in Los Angeles. Although Los Angeles isn’t that far, it was “speculated” as one of the worst weekends of the year to be driving to Los Angeles. We left early and made it to the location of the shower, way early. Luckily, we were saved by a Starbuck’s.
My friend, Jen, has a great group of girlfriend’s that she has known throughout her school years. The shower was being held at one of her friend’s homes, a FARM. This place was amazing, and the shower was beautiful. Tawni put all of the special touches together for a vintage garden themed bridal shower.
The setting for the shower was in Tawni’s Garden. She had the arch to the garden decorated and all of the tables below had vintage table cloths. What a great entrance. I loved everything hanging from the trees.
Each of the tables had masons jars with roses in them. They were the perfect centerpiece for the tables. Each guest received a wood fan and a small wisk, heart shaped measuring spoons, or a wine bottle cork. My son played with the wood fan when I got home. Too cute.
And of course, Jen the bride. Honestly, I would have never though of doing the chalk writing on the stairs. That was so memorable and great for pictures! Must borrow that idea. Jen looked so cute posing for that picture.
I didn’t get a picture of the food, because I was too busy eating. But it was a great buffet put together by her friends, mom, and sister-in-law. Everything was delicious. They also had a dessert buffet with assorted candy, cupcakes, and cakes. I wanted one of everything, but I held back, just a little.
I’m sure I mentioned that the bridal shower was on a farm, in Southern California. Yes, they are rare, but look so beautiful. And we walked around and saw all of Tawni’s animals. Jen picked up this little chick whom was born only a few days prior.
Jen picked up this little chick whom was born only a few days prior. Tawni said that she went in to feed the chickens and noticed this little one. It was soo cute!
I should have taken photos of the inside of Tawni’s home. Seriously, amazing. All of the DIY and Home Decor gals would be in there for hours. So many vintage and antique touches in decorating. And the best part of all, Tawni runs a children’s petting zoo. How adorable is that!
Jen is getting married in September, and I’m sure I will get a ton of amazing photos from the wedding also.
