My Best Face of 2010

Silly kid, is not bothered by injuries
I’ve taken many memorable photographs this year.  I photographed several events, and made my camera one of my best friends.  I’ve been going through all of my pictures looking for that right one, “the one” that stands out.  I love all of my beautiful friends, but for some reason, I just had to pick this one.

Angry Kid had a playground accident in early December and he needed stitches.  These were his first stitches.  But they were in a very significant spot on his forehead.  A little over a month later, you can see a raised slightly reddish line on his forehead.  I know that the bump will eventually go down, and the reddish will subside, but this was the beginning of something different.

He will always have this scar now, and a story to tell.  I wish there was a really great story, rather than, he wasn’t paying attention and ran into a piece of playground equipment.  I think we need to make up an epic story.

So there you have it, my “Best Face of 2010″. Be sure to check out the other “Best Faces of 2010″ over at I Heart Faces.

Wow, thanks goodness he's ok and will heal. Recently my son gashed his chin and required a trip to the ER. They gave him some skin sealing gel instead of stitches but like you said...this is the start of it. I'm sure stitches are in our future

OMG. Like stitches on a football! My two boys have both had staples, one of which I had to remove myself because we were on vacation and there was no hospital! YIKES!

That is painful to look at and gives me PTSD over our trip to the ER for my older son years ago. He was at his grandma's house and was jumping on the bed and fell, landing his head on the nightstand. I'll be damned if every darn medical professional in the ER didn't start singing the "No more monkeys jumping on the bed song." It was cute the first time.... If it heals just so, he will one day have a lot of fun convincing his friend's he's Harry Potter.

He is such a trooper! If that were my kid there would be screaming and tons of tears still sliding down her cheeks. But your little guy? Well he's the handsomest busted-up, "still hasn't been discharged from the ER" kid ever! lol Glad he's okay.

hahahaa- Gavins stitch story is "i wasnt paying attention and ran into a wal-mart shelf." at least AKs is marginally better than that ;)

He is so cute! My daughter slammed a giant play yard gate on my son. He had a huge bump on his head for a long time. No stitches though!
