The Pilgrim Male

DSC_0032

He looks pretty tough doesn’t he?  Yea, he was an important part of his Kindergarten Thanksgiving production.  He played one of the few but powerful, “Pilgrim Male”.  He was great, I think?  I was sitting so far away, I could barely tell what was going on.

We (Angry Husband and I) arrived at the production thirty minutes in advance. But I guess that wasn’t enough time as we were sitting in the back row.  As soon as the kids walked in, the paparazzi started.  Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever since that many camera flashes.  It was pretty ridiculous.  Before the program started, Angry Kid’s teacher announced that there would be no photography during the production.  I don’t think people listen very welcome because it seemed that people were still struggling to get the right shot with their cameras, and make sure they could videotape the entire thing…..with their cellphone.  I don’t even think that these people were watching their kids rather than fighting for the “perfect shot”.

After the program ended, we cheered Angry Kid on and clapped loudly.  He enjoyed a bountiful feast of chicken tenders, tater tots, apple slices, pumpkin pie bites, and brownies, along with some festive apple juice.  And I got this photo, of my Angry Kid as “Pilgrim Male” in his wonderful paper costume.

It is a perfect fit for I Heart Faces “Paper”photo challenge.  Check out more pictures entered into the challenge here.

I never considered that I could put "vying for the best shot in my kids' Holiday program" on my resume... of course, there are so few jobs listed right now for truly cut-throat paparazzi...

that has to be one of the best looking pilgrims I have ever seen. Even is he is a thug pilgrim ;)

He looks so hard. I wouldn't even fight with a pilgrim like that, just hand over my land for some cornbread.

I don't think Angry Kid has the "thankful" spirit! Love the costume...

great job! i just love going to school events for my children. i get so emotional seeing my children up on stage. even if i am sitting in the back. i know you were a proud mom no matter how far away you could have been.

My sister and I tried with a big fat FAIL at these costumes. We're not so smart. Check out my veggie turkey. I think you'll love it.
