My dad had tought me that in order to really clean a room everything has to be moved. I do this once a month move my rooms around. Husband hates it because he thinks a clean room is when there is nothing on the floor and the trash is taken out. I try to tell him that is just picking up not really cleaning. Maybe one day he will listen to me.

LOL…I could take hours on one room. It drives my husband insane. Offices are fun. We got our built-ins done and never really finished ours. I have all kinds of great ideas…..in my head.

I always do this! Somehow my “Quick” clean ups take way too long because everything has to come out so it can be cleaned and/or purged. Doesn’t matter if its a room or a closet. We desperately need to redo our office and I am scared.

I thought that’s how you were supposed to clean – dump it all into a pile and sort it all into places. What doesn’t have a home in the end gets tossed or re-purposed.

Totally with you. Every time I plan on cleaning, I just end up making a bigger mess than what was there to begin with. I’m about to embark on redoing the large room upstairs & moving my boys from the small room back upstairs. Then, the room downstairs will become a craft/office.
I am dreading the moving/painting/organizing. But I can’t waitfor the shopping & being done. Now, if only I could just get the husband to do what I tell him to without asking questions.
