Passwords

I’m writing this post out of frustration. It seems like every site that I go on lately needs some kind of password.  I go on a forum, my banking, Twitter, Blogger, e-mail…..you need a password.

It would be easy if you could just use one central password. But nooooooo..

Sometimes it’s 4-6 letters, 6-8 letters, 6-8 letters with at least one number.

A username with 6-8 letters, 6-8 letters with one number.

This is only in my personal life.

I think we have like ten different programs at work that need passwords too.

I’m on complete password OVERLOAD! I’m about to crash. Does anyone have a good system for passwords and.or usernames?

Please help my brain.

I swear I fill in one of those “I’ve forgotten my password and/or username, please e-mail it to me boxes everyday”!!!

Roboform. Roboform. Roboform. Seriously. The best $30 I EVER spent. Takes care of all my passwords, bank accounts, logins, addresses, etc. Stores everything offline but has an online plugin. I couldn't imagine living without it (I have over 200 passwords). Clink the button for roboform on the side of my blog if you decide to buy it (I have an affiliate code for it)…

I had never heard of Roboform. Thanks for the tip, Kirsten! I have no tips Julie because this frustrates the hell out of me. Just wanted to commiserate. :)

I just have a little book that I keep my passwords in. I'm going to check the Robo thingy though as that may be much easier.

I have a flash drive specifically for keeping information like that (passwords, lock combos, etc.). It makes me feel safer that it isn't stored anywhere online :)
