Why Spelling Is So Important

My co-worker, Kris, showed me this earlier this morning. We were all laughing. I had to have her forward it to me.

PLEASE TELL YOUR CHILDREN THAT SPELLING IS IMPORTANT, EVEN FOR THIRD GRADERS!

Yea, she sent it to me. But it was an Internet thing. I just thought it was too funny not to post. Sometimes, you don’t always look at those funny joke things that come across your e-mail.

oh this is too funny, and definitely to the point.
You know how moms love to tell stories about when you were little, well mine would always brink up my toddler speaking years up until I was about 35. Well it use to be cute and then I got to the point come on mother look, but she would always tell the story of my pronouncing F’s for T’s, so trucks would be _uck’s. And one day while riding public transportation I let everyone know how I said trucks.

    That’s too funny!

And I saw Crisom123′s comment. The funny thing is, my cousin was tongue-tied and had trouble pronouncing certain letters. So the same as Crisom, instead of saying truck, he said f**k, and instead of saying clock, he dropped the L and it came out as c*ck. Needless to say, since me and my brothers were a lot younger then we had a blast having him say those words.

I think one of the funniest things happened a couple of years ago though. My family was participating in the CIBC walk in Toronto and we ended up walking back to my grandma’s house where other family members were waiting. On the way back, we paused for a moment and my cousin called to let the others know we were on our way. Her son answered and she told him to tell his daddy that we were at the corner of Queen and Spadina, he turned around and told him we were at Queen and Vagina. Needless we couldn’t stop laughing that day!
